St George's Day at Dudley Zoo

Dudley Zoo and Castle will host two fantastic days of entertainment to celebrate the legend of St George on Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 April. Visitors will be able to join in the fun in the 11th century castle’s courtyard with St George themed activities including medieval re-enactments and history talks, children’s entertainers Flip & Dippy, face painting and craft activities. There will also be extra animal talks taking place throughout the afternoons and a chance to meet ‘Smoked! The Dragon’. The zoo has a limited number of tickets on offer for people to gain admission to the attraction from 3pm to 7pm at just £6 per person. Last admission 5pm.

Get ready to be transported to the world of rock & roll, skiffle, and rhythm & blues at our 1950s Rockin’ and Rollin’ event as live performers take to the stage. With a fantastic line-up of headline acts, including, Rockin’em, The Bitter Lemons, The Washboard Resonators, and Joe James Thomas. Whether you’re a swing aficionado or a jive enthusiast, this event has something for everyone! From vintage fashion and rockabilly style to live music and dancing, the evening promises an unforgettable journey through the pivotal decade of the 1950s. Immerse yourself in the music, indulge in nostalgia, and create lasting memories as you dance the night away in the Museum’s iconic streets and relive the excitement of a nation that “never had it so good”.
